A Message from DCMAC President
Dear DMV Lions:
Just three months ago when 2020 began, none of us, even using our keenest vision, imagined the current events that we are facing.
As the calendar turns to April and the newness that the spring season usually represents, many of us are dealing with fear, anxiety, or challenges adjusting to drastically changed circumstances.
Many Lions are directly impacted by COVID-19. Some have contracted the disease; many others have family members or close friends affected, some of whom have died. Lions, we are praying for you, for Lincoln University, for the Black community, and also for this country and the world.
The Chaplain's "WORD"
Fear or Keep Hope Alive
Hello Lions. I'm sure you've heard "this is our new normal" or people's fears connected to this disease, COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019). Some things we do know are:
·people are stressed, finding difficulty in coping, have "cabin fever"
·kids are missing prom's, graduation's, senior trips, friends at school, etc.
·businesses are closed and may not open back up
·people have lost jobs or their pay has been cut
·there's no cure & it's still spreading
So what do we do? How do we get through this?
NOW TAKE A DEEP BREATH!
"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1
